What is this app used for?
TEG-APP was born to make easier thromboelastography approach and consequently TEG- parameters interpretation. It’s a useful tool to manage better patient haemostasis in different clinical scenarios both in operating theater and intensive care unit. TEG-APP offers corrective clinical remedial based on values entered on TEG-Calculator. Abnormal results from TEG-Calculator must be integrated with clinical evaluation to carry out remedial measures to avoid progression to severe coagulopathy and uncontrolled bleeding.

Analyze these coagulation’s parameters in physiologic conditions of calcemia, temperature and pH. The presence of hypotermia ( T < 34 ° degrees), hypocalcemia (< 1 mmol/lt) and acydosis (pH < 7.2) imposes correction of confounding factors by warming, buffers and calcium supplementation before analyzing TEG-Calculator data.

How to use Calculator?
Copy from your monitor the TEG-parameters, starting with R-K (Kaolin), R-Kh (Kaolin with heparinase) and the difference betweeen them. After, select and copy a-angle, K, MA, EPL, CI, LY30 values from Kh- trace to be sure that aren’t affected by residual heparin activity.
